ENVIRONMENTAL REMEDIATION AND REAL ESTATE PROPERTY TRANSACTIONS:

The Company is organized to assume full responsibility for the clean-up of contaminated property as the General Contractor designing, overseeing and conducting all phases of the process from historical background investigation to soil and water sampling, installation of monitoring wells, hydro geological evaluation, government liaison and remediation by conventional means or by microbial degradation.
Common pollutants are:
Asbestos

Mold

PCB's
Halogenated Hydrocarbons
Petroleum Hydrocarbons
Pesticides
Toxic Metals
Radon

The staff assigned to environmental clean-up may include a geologist, a chemical engineer, a mechanical engineer, a civil engineer, an environmental chemist, an analytical chemist, or a Licensed Environmental Professional. Only those needed are assigned, and only for the time necessary to complete their part of the job.

Brooks Environmental Consulting offers complete cost-effective services for those involved in real estate transactions -- owners, buyers, lawyers, real estate brokers, lending institutions and managers. We have a qualified and certified staff to assist on many levels and with the primary view of preventing unknown environmental liability from being transferred along with assets.

All significant real estate transactions and corporate acquisitions require thorough site assessments or "environmental audits" as a systematic and orderly approach to managing these risks. Our scientists and engineers follow both the ASTM standards for site assessments and in Connecticut, the Guidelines for the State of Connecticut Transfer Act.

The State of Connecticut has enacted its own legislation called the Connecticut Transfer Act. Our consultants and analytical laboratories are prepared to conduct Phase I, II and III site assessments as appropriate under the Law. When the evidence shows no contamination has occurred, Phase II and Phase III are unnecessary.
